Being the youngest doesn’t mean being spoilt. I had my own share of beating. Unlike parents nowadays who tend to side their kids, will go all the way to fight for them despite the kids wrong doings.

I still can remember clearly that I had a session of public caning, using a rubber hose. It was my mom who caned me at the school canteen. I was only Standard 1 at that time, if i am not mistaken. I got it hard, which many pairs of eyes looking at me. It happened in front of the hand basin whereby there is a rubber hose there. She just pick it up and hit it on me, hard.

It wasn’t that embarassing but it was damn pain. Some more got red marking on my leg. I was wearing shorts then. Anyway, the reason I got hit by my mom was because of the issue, “honesty” and “money” related. I remembered clearly that I was in queue to buy breakfast during the recess period. My mom was there and I had a bowl of mee curry. It was self serve so I grab a bowl, pay the money and left. Like usual, that was a peak time and everyone was rushing to get their meals. Somehow, one of the canteen staff walked to me and ask me to pay for the meal. I told my mom I have already pay and so.
The staff insisted that I didn’t pay and my mom quickly, pay the staff and lecture me on the money issue. Shouldn’t lie and must pay the meal. There’s nothing called free lunch. I confronted my mom and told her that I did pay for the food. Since I didn’t admit, she caned me…… and from there, I’ve learned my lesson.

The moral of the story.. “Just say whatever the other wants to listen“. I do appreciate my mom in teaching and shaping me. Like the sayings, “Melentur buluh biar rebungnya” or to borrow from another blogdrive the translation, “it’s better to bend the willow when it is young”.

Last Friday, I was drowsy and stayed home for a early sleep. However, a phone call from Ivan inviting me for a quick dinner. We had a splendid dinner at Tong Jing for 3 person, Ivan, Terence and me. We had a lemon chicken, belacan kangkung, ham yu fah lam and hot plate taofu which cost RM45++. Kinda cheap and huge amount of the food.

Later, Ivan asked whether I’m free myself tonight or not. He asked that I join him for dotA later in the night. We went to Sri Petaling, Amjali (not sure the place tho’ but it’s next to ZoneX) and yum cha there before proceed to SS2 Clutch Gamers. With 100 units of PC around, not much of dotA players when it come to compare to Setapak area. Most of them playing CS or vs with AI. Boring!

Ivan keep commented that he’s very good using Rhasta and I doubt that. Through out few matches and even a second round on Saturday night really shows that his action…. basically playing too much of individual games over the BlueServer 3. The teamwork and synergy wasn’t there. Terence is just really noob. -_-” Using a centaur and he doesn’t know how to seize the opportunity. argh, and that really pissed me off. Brandon was kind of funny player. When he can’t kill, he will slam the desk out of frustration. By the way, the world is damn freaking small that Brandon actually is a colleague of my ex-coursemate, Kuan Liang. I found out when Brandon was asking Kuan Liang out for a showdown.

Needless to say, our team lost the match and I do admit, I’m fairly poor and noob in the newer version, which is version 6. The entire gameplay and item build are different. Learning and studying the new version is deemed necessary. Oh well. Luckily, I got a sifu in dotA. Too bad he’s in Aussie and can’t really help me here. But I’m grateful that he taught me what to build earlier on Saturday night.

I was getting a Two Headed Dragon. Stanley told me to get a void stone, and keep spamming, abusing the dual breath and auto breath to farm for money. After that, aim for guinsoo and increase my hitpoint relatively. I manage to do that but still, we can’t win the game. Argh.. sienz.

WOoott.. this morning when I opened my browser, update the Firefox to version 1.5.0.4. Power, the best part is that, they are constantly improving the stability and features in FF. What not?
