Now I Know Why

Hired or fired? In the end, it’s how and what you write about in your blog that determines that.
I mean I know why he moved from there to here. His reason? Here

I think a lot of bosses don’t realise, that when someone vents on a blog, it often alleviates the stress they are feeling and actually helps them work.

So, complaining about work is quite normal. Just now-a-days we have blogs and bosses seem to take things personally.

I guess it’s better than one of the last places I worked. One of the bosses used to read everyone’s e-mails. It was an illegal invasion of privacy, but he used to do it to see what people thought about him … talk about paranoid! :-)

So, blogs aren’t the only ways that bosses have to know what’s actually being said about them … but I guess a blog can get you fired, while e-mails can’t! lol

Ed Note: It’s all about ethics, professionalism and cultures. I’m not sure whether my boss knows I got a blog or not but it doesn’t matter. I won’t blog about work as most of my stuff is NDA related. But of course, once a while, venting in the password protected I will do it.
