This Chinese New Year proves to be a quiet and peaceful one since there’s a ban imposed on the usage of not only firecrackers but fireworks as well. It’s like eating a nasi lemak without “sambal”. Worse come to worse, then there’s also an issue on the copyright issue pertaining the Chinese New Year songs. No one dares to play the songs publicly as it infringe the matter of copyrights. From a nasi lemak without “sambal” now to having a nasi lemak without “sambal”, “timun” (cucumber), “kacang” (peanut) and “ikan bilis” (anchovies). Damn no atmosphere.
Like my taikor dai KS, he also have to work today which is damn sienz. Yes, I truly feel your painful and the drag to wake up in the early morning to work. Which brings me to spend my time today in office blogging since there’s nothing much I can do except an internal meeting with my colleagues and then later “open table”. Anyway, work is still work. We are getting paid which is makes it worst. Obligation.
For the past few years, I would love to spend the Chinese New Year days at my uncle’s house. However, in recently I doesn’t have the same feeling anymore. Perhaps is because of my cousins unable to come back? Furthermore, the kids are growing up. Even my youngest nephew been getting me to play “Gin Rummy” aka “JiNaMi” with him and the rest He’s just in Standard 2 this year only. =.= Kids nowadays not only preoccupied with the console box but adult entertainment as well. At least they have earlier exposure rather than later in life where they have to struggle between commitment and leisure.
There’s not much of “pailin” this year from me as I tend to lepak at LK Steven’s house and playing “JiNaMi” with the gang. Well, at least there’s thing to do during CNY despite the almost deserted city of Klang Valley. Not much of dota unlike last year and more of playing cards. I believe which is good as I can spend some time away from the monitor and keyboard. For consecutive of 3 nights, “JiNaMi” and cards till the wee hours in the morning. What do we have there? Insomnia when I getting back to work. Couldn’t sleep till 4am…. at least I am trying.
CNY Movie Flick? Watched only the “Moon To” aka Protege starring Andy Lau, Anita Yuen, Louis Koo and Daniel Wu with LatKyok (LK) on the 16th at Mid Valley. Overall, I’m giving it 8.5 of 10 and for the details, there’s plenty of blogs and reviews out there. You just need to google it. For Andy Lau, I would say that most of us were commenting about his charisma and his aura. He had the macho aura that captivates most. That’s why there’s a saying in Chinese “Ginger the older it gets, the spicier it becomes”. Anyone also wanted to have his aura and charisma…. Can’t wait to watch the movie “The Lady Iron Chef” starring Charmaine Sheh whereby we can anticipate to watch her in cooking delicious meals with her sexy apparel.
Well, I was hoping still that I am not late to wish all my readers and especially the descendants of the dragon, a Warm and Prosperous Chinese “Oink Oink” New Golden Pig Year.
On this day..
