Previous Employment Revisited

Rantings Ramblings

After a year and 7 months leaving the previous company, I manage to meet up with my previous directors again. Appearantly they resigned from the company as well due to certain complications they had with the owner of the company.

Instead of talking what happened, I rather choose not to listen or know about it. The thing is that it's not easy when people wanted to share their sorrows with you. I had to lend a ear to them. Most of the staff that left the company often shared with me what happened inside the company. Not that I intend to being busybody but they wanted me to know why they were so frustrated and disappointed with the company itself.

Most of the time is the struggles and ups and downs they had to put up with. There's one case whereby one of the ex-staff who had left the company blog about his experience working with the company in his friendster's blog. It turned out that the management aka the only owner of the company knews about the matters. The boss called him up and told him in sarcastic way, "I'm truly afraid of you. Please don't do this to me" which at the same time he lodged a police report that this ex-staff blog about him and the company.

At the end, this ex-staff eventually have to delete his blog in order to safeguard himself and avoid further complication since he had family to take care of as well as getting himself another job to pay the bills.

The boss had become so paranoid and suspicious that whoever that left the company have bad intentions to the company. This reflected even further when few senior staff decided to tender their resignation, for a greener pasture. The boss get one of them into his office. He told one of the staff that they are leaving the company together as an act of sabotage. He added that he going to lodge a police report that they are conspired and wanted to sabotage the company. Even those who left the company or ex-staff are considered as enemies. They are not welcome to keep in touch with the current employees.

Looking at the scenario, and even the records, did he ever looked at the number or statistics of the staff turnover? Why on earth that there are so huge number of staff turnover? Did he did anything for staff retaining?

There are few times that whoever left the company, he the Boss would eventually condemning the person during the management meeting. He would add that whoever left will not able to make a decent living outside. He believes that these people couldn't survive outside.

I reserve no resentment to the company, as the matter of fact. Just there are times when I heard such news, it hurts me as much as I still does have friends working there, whom have to deal with him on daily basis. In fact, by comparing the previous boss and my current employer, I felt I am blessed with a better Boss right now.

Like they say, good or bad is throuugh comparing. :D

On this day..

There are times when it’s best to leave and sometimes, it’s just better to stay. I had a number of chances to leave my current place but boss persuaded me to stay. I guess, he still wants me. However, there are circumstances where he makes me feel rather unwanted but what to do, I guess that’s just life.

Conclusion? Well, work your ass off if you can or if you have to. When you walk out of the office, it’s done, work’s finished and never carry it out of the office with you. Life’s too short to be thinking about sad things all the time or to even have that sorta thought. I guess some things in life just couldnt be changed..

    Oh well.. back to work~~
haha. slacking aren’t u. Wat u call people who uses slackware? Bunch of slackers
