Ever encounter such trials that it really puts you off the the edge. Having one toe on the ground and slightly will get off from the cliff. Like your life hanging to such a thread? More of a strand of a hair? If you fell, what do you do? 

You fell hard. What would you do? Get up!!! Get up on the feet and work for it again. Thinking back, it reminds me of a story. A story about Dan Jansen¹. My mentor sent me a sms of Dan Jansen, asking me to get back up every time I fell.

And when you fall…

What do you do?

You feel like giving up, right?

But if you believe in yourself… you don't give up.

 

Instead, you… Get… Back… Up…

 

All of us face adversity and failure in our attempts to achieve worthwhile goals. Fortunately, there's a little bit of Dan Jansen in each of us.  

 

Hence, I remember that this guy, Dan Jansen never give up despite that he encountered such trials in his life. The moment he fell while competing in Winter Olympics, just because he heard the news that his sister died of leukemia. Anyone could might just lost hope. Lost direction and suddenly, everything that been done seems pointless. 

But he get back up. In 1994, he won a gold medal. Not only that, he set a new world record as well.

So, I asked God. Why? Why such a trial on me? He knew that He has a plan for me. He is shaping me, through the trials He had given me. Everything happened for a reason. My friend used to tell me that in everything gives thanks. I must thank God for the trials I am going through now. Not to forget every single person who are involved in the trials be it directly or indirectly. 

Like when I look back at the times of me sleeping and locking myself up, it was simply good to think about it. I knew I can do more and do better than that. I believe that myself when I really committed to it, I can get it through. Dedication. I learned more and more about myself. Discovering myself again, through the trials. In fact, for the whole month of April. It is a journey of rediscovering Dale. Now, Dale or No Dale is no longer a matter to me.

They asked me to calm down. I am calm. I just hyper-ed. I am not having any nervous breakdown. Just that I prefer everything in faster pace. Maybe that's that KL people are. In fact, I noticed my footsteps are fast and hurried. 

This reminds me of the old days' when I have to walk to tuition center. Rushing from the bus stand all the way to the class in order to secure the front seat. The reason was that if were late, I couldn't even see what the hell the teacher scribbles on the white board. Growing up in KL, used to the pace of life. Everything has to be fast. Seems like time is not enough. Now, I grew up tired of it. Everything seems urgent. Everything seems important. Everything seems doesn't have enough time. Everything …. well, you get the drill.

I'm relax. Right now, this moment. Breath in, breath out… breath in, breath out. *deep inhale and slowly exhale* Pray for calmity of mind and clarity of doubt. That's what I can do right now. 

KUALA LUMPUR: On the 26th April 2007, all the government sectors and most of the private sector will be going on a rest day. This is to commemorate the installation of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

The official announcement was made by the government sectors 2 weeks earlier. However, only the private sectors mostly banking, financial insititutions and some service provider declared the coming Thursday as a rest day instead of public holiday. The reason is despite it is rest day, all the employees are required to return to work. The only different is that they don't need to treat any matters in any sense of urgency due to the nature of the day, which is the rest day.

Kidding! I'm just envy and jealous of that I don't get any rest day despite of the installation day of our King. Maybe I was being paid by the private sector. Probably. Sigh* Or I keep telling that my office doesn't have protrait of someone? 

As for my respect for my King, I want to wish him "Daulat Tuanku" 

What they have in common? What would you choose over these 3 items above? Do you take yourself as carrot, egg or coffee bean?

In life, we will have to encounter any adversities. And these adversities are just like putting ourselves inside a boiling water. Imagine that what ever situation we are in, we can be like either carrot, egg or coffee bean. In fact, just take three pot of hot boiling water. 

The first pot, we put carrot inside. Same goes to the egg and coffee beans. What happened next is that the carrot at first which was rock hard has become soft. After being boiled. 

As for the egg, the egg still as hard as before being boiled. Look from outside, it does not have much changes. But in the inside, the egg has become hard. Just like a person's emotions, feelings and characters. The person might turned to be a totally different person just because of the adversities he or she is facing. 

The coffee beans on the other hand has turned out to be something else. After being boiled, the coffee bean no longer exist. It has become the cofee with rich aroma and taste. It changes the color of the water. Be like coffee beans, which had overcome the hot boiling water and totally change the situation.

My message is that irregardless what situation we are in, we need to remain true to ourselves. Bring the best out of the people around you and change the situation that we are currently in. I also took this opportunity to remind myself that I need to be like coffee beans.

*the moral of the story is that since cofee bean is far more greater than other, when is the next round we go Coffee Bean instead of Starbuck?* 

Weekend seems good. Hectic but appreciate the tight schedule. Especially on Saturday. It was Kenny Ng birthday and since Uncle Wingz have arranged a tok kok sing song session later in the evening, we had a multi conference discussion with the gang, namely Lockee¹, LinPeh, Lisan and Penny²

We was thinking of getting him something that reflect the true nature of bloggers. Hence, we came out with a brilliant idea. A t-shirt with some wordings. Sample of the wordings was like "my cheapsket blogger frens got me this sorhai t-shirt for my birday", with extra url. Wingz wanted to have "rojaks.blogspot.com" and "everydei read rojaks" so on. Not to forget other contributors' url for the t-shirt present as well. Since it was a last minute deal, have to confirm where and how much that gonna cost. So, we manage to get a blogger whom manage to do the wordings last minute. After checking with her, it's located at BB Plaza, highest floor facing Metrojaya.

Now, the main task was who will have to travel all the way downtown to get the matters done. This job was none-the-less yours truly. Since i'm the one that kior kar yo lam pah³, I went down to BB Plaza at 2pm. However, to my dismay the shop already closed. Maybe due to holiday or on leave or no longer in business. I saw there are a few numbers and tried to call but no avail. Not wanting to give up just yet, I've decided to explore every corner again of the BB plaza as well as Sg Wang Plaza. Around 4pm, I finally gave up and then go for the cake as a birthday present would do.

We sing song tok kok at Cheras Plaza's Neway. The evening session is the most blardy expensive. RM42++ per pax. Anyway, since it's Kenny birthday, no problem lah, money isn't an issue already coz' we got anchor sponsor. Hehe…  After the sing song performance from the SkyKeepYou and Kenny, we go for Starbucks for lim kopi session⁴. Suddenly, SkyKeepYou suddenly come up with the idea of watching a movie. Wild Hogs was in the screenings. We go for that since it's just going to be on screen in the next 20 minutes time. Not bad for a comedy movie starring Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and more… since the beginning of the show, Wingz laugh like non-stop. Of course it was really funny. But the editing and censorship was worse. Yet, the movie ticket is just worth the money when you have bunch of bloggers watching it with you. It was priceless…. !!

So, we planning to have another session according to Wingz. So who want to go fast fast register. Limited laps available.

Back in almost 2 years back, I posted an image, work of a colleague. How nice and how cute is the ‘thang’

And after I deleted my previous nucleus, I realized I made a mistake. There are a plenty of stuff besides the text, I need to keep or doing backup. In fact, the recent images traffic that came to my blog was none other than this file name “20050625-ftw.jpg”. It was the image of “Fuck The World”. Didn’t know that there will be one of the favourite search in the google images.

With the jumping of bandwagon, the so-called “Hottest Bloggers” terms had gone from sublime to the ridiculous. *shakes head*

Just because having a blog, it serves as a platform for them with free rein to start the contest of the “Hottest Female Bloggers” or “Hottest Male Bloggers” ?? So, I have decided to go against the grain. With all bloggers wanted to jockeying for the position to decide to claim the hottest bloggers, remembering that not to rely on skin deep beauty.
I knew that by making up this post, I should look before I leap. Even being advised to let the sleeping dogs lie.

Reminds me that this ain’t over until the fat lady sings. I might just have my own Pandora’s box.

Just leave me alone. When I’m working straight for 2 days 1 night, I’m gonna get “cockoo”

This is a very good question I ever asked myself. In fact, I never asked myself a good question before? Nope. Just that this one keeps me pondering. Wondering what if and all those possibilities.

It is easier to put it this way. Let say I myself as a case study. One day, I happened to get to know a girl. She’s cute, smart, pretty, a darling and everything nice words to describe her for a start. Then I fall in love with her. So deep so hard. It’s like way beyond words can describe. Now, she says she’s going to further her studies overseas. We better remains as friends. Maybe one day if we meet again, she and I might have a chance. That’s her promise to me and my promise to her. So, will you still wait for her? I asked myself. What if one day, came along another girl, who similarly captured your heart? What will be my stance?

Or should I start flirting around and have fun first while waiting for her? There’s too much possibilities to considered about.

Second case which will be much more complicated. This time, Kenny-Ng like a girl. He confessed to her and  turned out that she doesn’t have any feelings towards him. But Kenny really cannot control himself and fall in love so deep, so deep. Now that she asked to remains as friends and yet Kenny reluctantly accepted that offer.

But nonetheless Kenny still have the love towards her and he told he that he don’t mind if she is seeing someone else already. He say he wanted to wait for her. He will wait for her. He stayed persistent for few years. Then one day, Kenny came to know AhLian and AhLian offered herself to Kenny. The thing is that Kenny is very faithful to his dream girl. Now that the dream girl is seeing someone and going steady, chances are that he might not stand a chance anymore with his dream girl.

Since AhLian kind of like him, should he go ahead with AhLian? I mean since the food is being fed to the lion’s mouth. To eat or not to eat?

I kind of forgotten the third case. Was interrupted by an email. Anyway, coming back to these matters above. It is hard to justify for the answers. In fact, I also wouldn’t know what I would do until the time I’m in the situation. I’m not sure whether are you guys going to be truthful to me or to yourselves or not. Do you realized that most of the time when we go shopping, we go and look for the clothes we like. Let say a dress for an example. In fact, the other day I was accompany a friend from Penang to go shopping in Sg. Wang Plaza. She saw a purple colour dress and after a while shopping around, she ended up going back Penang with a black colour dress. What she did? She realized her mistake and try to consent herself by telling herself that she like the black more. In fact, I knew that she still wanted to purple colour dress despite her denial.

Not everyone was lucky to fall in love with a person and ended their lives as husband and wife together forever. If those who does, let us congratulate to them. Life is like that. It’s like we always bound to be constraint by certain limitation. Like example, when we go for food like the other day we went to Tsim Tung with Wingz, Boon, LinPeh and CKYeo. What happened was I was looking at the price in the menu instead of the food I desired. Why? Simply because I was constraint by the money I had. Maybe in love relationship is also the same. Who loves who more? The boy or the girl. Someone have to be on the giving side while the other receiving.

My question to myself was, will I wait? If I were in both situation, I can’t even tell what I wanted. In fact, if at this moment I were to give an answer I would believe my answer would be yes! I will wait. I will wait for her. I believe as for now, as my view of life and relationship is based on my current self. In future, I don’t know whether I will still stay the same. For the only reason is that this decision to wait for her was the only answer I can find it acceptable to myself.

You see, God created man based on the image of himself. He made Eve out of Adam’s rib. So, my conclusion is that for everything that happened in our lives is happened within His plan. Let leave it to Him to do the rest as the entire picture reveal itself pieces by pieces. Meantime, let’s enjoy our lives here, this moment right now. Live in present. Blessed that every single day you can wake up and see the sun rises again. For everyday is a new hope for you.

One Two Three Four Five Six Seven…

The earliest multiplication table, back in primary school which I can first memorize was the multiply of seven. Even God created the world in 7 days. To me, seven is a perfect number. Even the sins come in seven. Chinese also think seven is a strange number. Remember the movie, Seven Swords? The heroes come in seven as well.

It just stirs me that even in a relationship be it boyfriend/girlfriend or marriage, there’s thing called “Seven Years Itch”. According to the freedictionary, the seven years itch means “if someone who is married gets the seven year itch, they become bored with their relationship after about seven years and often want to start a sexual relationship with another person.”
Why it stirs me was that I have a friend, whom just broke up with her boyfriend after 7 years of relationship. I felt sorry for her. In fact, I don’t really know what I can do to help and ease her pain. 7 years isn’t that short nor long either. Just like that, it ended. All I can do was be her ears. Listening and spend more time with her. Which is what I do best.

But I manage to see some of my couples friends manage to pull it through. Maybe after all, it is depending on the person. How the person honor and cherish the relationship. Definitely, the itch will always be there. Just like sweets, if you leave it then the ants shall come. Don’t tell me that if you give the cat the fish, the cat won’t eat it?

Before I forgot, how about the 7 Wonders of Ancient World? So, anyone here can tell me about the Seven Year Itch. Is a reality? I don’t know. Just checked with another friend, and she claimed that Ekin Cheng suffered the Seven Years Itch with Maggie Chew. After that he was with Gigi, but ended up as victims of Seven Year Itch.
