No matter how bad the person's behaviour, it can be change. For good or for worse. No matter what, we can always change our behaviour or habits. Just a step a day, we are a better person.
The bottom line of this is that it actually reminds us that we need to keep looking for the character traits like honesty and integrity. No matter what the wood is, as long as it's solid it helps.
