Knowledge is power, not.

Food for Thoughts

Wisdom
is the right use of knowledge.
To know is not to be wise.
Many men know a great deal,
and are all the greater fools for it.
There is no fool so great a fool
as a knowing fool.
But to know how to use knowledge
is to have wisdom.

Spurgeon

A friend the other day told me that knowledge is power. I told him bluntly that knowledge is not power until one applies it. Knowledge without proper application has no use for anyone. It just serves as an information. Just like the data stores inside a harddisk. Without a program or an application to run it, presenting it in a way that on can understand, it just serves as a raw data. Nothing else.

One can know everything. Be it master of all knowledge yet none applied serve no usefulness to the mankind.

On this day..

Information is not knowledge. That’s different again. :-) After all, there is a lot of raw information out there which is not knowledge.
    See point four

But you are right, knowledge not correctly applied is bad and when correctly applied is wisdom.
