Trip to SungkaiLong

Under the Sun No Comments

I had a call yesterday morning, around 1000 hour. My uncle called. He told me the other uncle passed away. My mother side. My mom couldn't be reached on her mobile. Appearantly she turn it off.

Deciding when to make a trip back to SungkaiLong. Dunno where is it. What is the actual place name or sort. I just know its in Pahang and where I always remember the aroma of the koko ((cocoa)) seed. They roasted it under the burning sun. It's located further up Bentong and Raub. Not sure if anyone from there can enlighten me of the actual name of the place.

They informed me that the funeral will go on for 3 days – which will ends tomorrow noon, where they will send the deceased to be buried or cremanted. My uncle informed me that they will be going there tonight. I told them I am available last night since I have postponed my submission of pricing to customer the next following day which is tomorrow (Wednesday). They picked me up after 12 midnight and the road trip only took an hour and so to reach there.

The next morning, we pay offerings (white gold) and respect to the deceased family members. I have to rush back to KL to work on my pricing hence I am here blogging instead once I reached KL. Since I travelled at night, I couldn't take any snapshot and when I travelled back, I was the one driving. So, not much picture.

Promise more photos coming out soon. And today is Wesak cumshot Labour Day.

In order to show appreciation for the Buddhist and those who celebrating Wesak Day, here's the copy of the SMS i received seconds ago.

May palms be joined in every world in kindness, compassion, joy and giving. May all beings find security in friendship. peace and loving care.

May calm and mindful practice seed patience and equanimity deep.

May we give rise to spacious hearts and humble thoughts of gratitude.

Happy Wesak Day! May you be well and happy.

Lemonade for All

"When fate hands you a lemon, make lemonade"

Dale Carnegie

I told Leroy that I am a happy-go-lucky person. For I don't really hold grudge. It's too tiring for hate or being angry at someone for a very long time. The feeling itself will soon consumate oneself.

I added that when fate hands me a lemon, which lemon as a metaphor means something bad. Sour – as in not good happened onto me, what are the options available? Frown? Cry over it? Complaining about it? Whine about it? What to do?

Dale Carnegie asked us to make lemonade out of it. I would say let's just make more than a glass of lemonade. Everyone loves lemonade, besides AhPek who loves OhKau. So, make abundance of it so that everyone can enjoy the drinks.

So, had your lemonade today? Chili's is bottomless!!!
