There is nothing wrong with stomach butterflies! You just have to get them to fly in formation

Burt Decker

Nervous hit me today. Why? Because I did something wrong. Really wrong. Hehe because I underquote something which ended up well, pretty nasty. :D It was a mistake of the year. Sigh* I really need a break off work. Need to apply one for July. I’m totally stressed out and can’t concentrate in work already. Not 100% focus at the time being.

Never be afraid to laugh at yourself. After all, you could be missing out on the joke of the century

-Dame Edna Everage

Dame Edna Everage is a character played by Australian comedian Barry Humphries. As Dame Edna, Humphries has written several books and hosted various television shows (on which Humphries has also appeared as himself). In 1979, Dame Edna was the subject of a BBC Arena mockumentary: “La Dame aux Gladiolas”.

Dame Edna is known for her lilac-coloured hair (which she claims is natural) and over-the-top eyeglasses.

While Humphries freely states that Dame Edna is a character he plays, Dame Edna consistently denies being a fictional character or drag performer, and refers to Humphries as her “entrepreneur” or manager. Indeed, Dame Edna has frequently said that the thought of a man dressing up as a woman for entertainment purposes is repulsive.

The purpose of a dream is to focus our attention. The mind will not reach for achievement until it has clear objectives. The magic begins when we own our dream. It is then that the switch is turned on, the current begins to flow and the power to accomplish becomes a reality.

-Author Unknown

Honda motto? The power of dream. Focusing on the dream. Aim for my dream. Make it happen. Make it today…

What you can do, or dream you can do - begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it

Goethe

According to Wikipedia:

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832) was a German polymath. Goethe’s works span the fields of poetry, drama, literature, theology, Humanism, science, and painting. His most enduring work, the two-part dramatic poem Faust, is considered one of the peaks of world literature. Goethe’s other well-known literary works include his numerous poems, the bildungsroman Wilhelm Meister’s Apprenticeship, the epistolary novel The Sorrows of Young Werther and the semi-autobiographical novel Elective Affinities.

Goethe was one of the key figures of German literature and the movement of Weimar Classicism in the late 18th and early 19th centuries; this movement coincides with Enlightenment, Sentimentality (”Empfindsamkeit”), Sturm und Drang, and Romanticism. The author of Faust and Theory of Colours, he influenced Darwin with his focus on plant morphology. Goethe’s influence spread across Europe, and for the next century his works were a primary source of inspiration in music, drama, poetry, and philosophy.

We are not troubled by things, but by the opinion we have of things

Epictetus

My mind and my emotions. We are troubled by what we had in within ourselves. But no worries. Let’s tackle them one by one. One at a time. It’s much easier that way.

but I was trouble of the opinion I have on things. Especially when it comes to dealing with people. Maybe I was too kaypo1 and hence I wanted to know more. So, the moment I do some googling or searching and found out the fact, it get me devastated. I was really ended up being worried. Then my imagination kicks in. Imagine things that can’t be possibly happening. But it was the thought process…

It is not so much a tragedy to be a person with no eyesight, but it is a great tragedy to have no vision.

Gula Ketuk and the car theft

Under the Sun No Comments

On one occasion when my friends and I detoured to Malacca after the wedding lunch, we ended up reaching KL in the middle of night. We reached Malacca for a walk at Jonker’s Street and to taste some local delicacies there.

I happened to saw there were selling “Ting Ting” candy or “Gula Ketuk” which actually refers to some kind of harden molas sugar. The seller will use hammer and a chisel to break the sugar candy into smaller pieces that can fit into the mouth. Last time when I was a kid, I used to buy whenever the old man, riding on his bicycle and a bell came over to the neighborhood. It was a great treat and now I can’t even acquire the similar taste from any other Gula Ketuk sellers. They doesn’t produce the same result as compared to the old man. He’s the best Gula Ketuk I ever taste for.

It doesn’t too sweet when I ate it. It was a lot brighter than those selling in Malacca and an attempt to chew or bite it ended up the sugar sticking to your teeth and tongue. Often it ended up sticking to the teeth.

On our way back, we had an obstacle. We came with two cars and one of the car was locked. His anti-theft had now become anti-him. He can’t unlock the steering padlock because of he did not bring the padlock keys. It was a horrifying news. By that time its 10 minutes past 10pm. Saturday night. We get help from the local people, the car park management opposite St Xavier Church. They provided us 1 mini-saw to saw the padlock off. Apparently, the padlock was cut through after 30 minutes of the ordeal. Now that they have experience in getting the padlock off, they can be part time car stealer. :P

Guess same happens to another colleague whom used wires to unlock the car from outside. He just twist the wires and insert into the car, with a slight effort of 10 minutes managed to get the door opened. Hhhmm I guess local Malaysians also have such talents in hand. If next time I wanted to open anything, I’ll just give them a buzz. ;)

Paris is Grateful

To Ponder About, Under the Sun No Comments

What it takes for a person to repent from his or her sin? Will sending a person into a solitary confinement shall changed a person totally? It’s like 18-0 degree turning point?

Of course from the recent news all about Paris Hilton, she was being center of ridicule object as well as being making fun of. During a phone interview with Ryan Seacrest, she told him that now she had changed. She is now much more grateful for everything she had. What shall I be looking forward to see if whether she will be using her fame in a good way or not. Just like she mentioned it in an interview.

I shall reserve some benefits of doubt on her matter. But how about me, myself? Am I grateful and content enough for things I had?

Time to ponder eh?

Finding Words in Between

Understanding Me, Myself No Comments

The usual self, had been undergo tremendous change in within. I begin to notice that myself no longer able to find words for each and every post. The content become shallow. The gist was not in place. It just seems plain like a piece of white paper. Today when I read one of the customer email, it provoked me. I start to think wasn’t that my entire intention was once to be able to write like him? Here’s some of the excerpt I can recall. I can’t fully produce the content here due to the “sensitivity of the matter” and relates to my company I work with.

“Maybe by holding my fist and bending my knees shall …..” and “Utter the disappointment and …”

To me, it is highly above my started and further rubbing salt into injuries, it was full of sarcasm. On the side note, it was a good one.

Having said that, I still searching desperate for words. Words that can define what I had in mind. Often I noticed that I am not yet a good communicator for I having hard time to convey the message I wanted. From a simplicity of an issue to complication. One being oriented had ended disoriented from my words.

With nothing else in my mind, I best being retired in bed. :P Nites!!
