World Most Polluted River?

Under the Sun 2 Comments

According to Daily Mail UK, Citarum River is heavily polluted with garbages and nonetheless, man-made waste. Then it hit me whether we will ended up like our neighbour? What not. Since that even the existence of SMART Tunnel, we still ended up with flash flood. What was the comment from the flash flood? Some said that it was due to the amount of garbages and litters we, Malaysians throw into the drainage, causing the entire system clogged.

When I am on the road, what pissed off me most wasn’t those lane hogger or some smart alec who thinks they know about their driving skill. However, it is more towards those who owned a car and think their car is larger than life, decided to open up their blardy car window and litter. Just like that. Irregardless ofd whether it is small thing such as ciggeratte butt, pieces of paper or even water bottles. And we dare to call ourselves that we have been 50 years independence. Where’s the civic awareness?

Anti-Phone iPhone

Information Technology 2 Comments

When I saw the release date of iPhone the other day over the Yahoo!News, I wanted to blog about it. Plan to get a hand of it but nonetheless, my dear friend Wingz already blogged about it under the title of iPhone on Sale date confirmed. Being a courteous, I decided not to follow suit with another post about the release date.

So with nothing on hand to generate sufficient traffic to my blog, I begin to search to counter Wingz for a particular post that can not only generate enough traffic here but to get more coverage for my ads from Nuffnang. After searching high and low, there’s only one thing that came into my mind. Something to get attention of the iPhone craze.

By chance and by luck, I manage to stumble upon a site – the technology site, Gizmodo where they posted OpenMoko’s Neo19735 that meant to replace iPhone. And it’s free too.
Here’s the link to the anti-iphone post. So what do you think? Can it replace the iPhone? Moreover, I read from somewhere that FDA not only wanted the phone just to be a phone but maybe detector as well. Example that I can think of as follow:-

  • Smoke detector
  • UV detector
  • Fart detector
  • Motion sensor
  • Air particle sensor
  • Sarcasm detector
  • Hot Chick detector

I think the list can basically grow from there. Coz even today the phone also come with GPS too. There is no surprise if they really come up with it.

The OpenMoko Neo1973 linux-powered smartphone first crossed our radar last november. Then the iPhone came out and made us double-take on the device’s multi-touch screen, and coincidentally similar interface. Yesterday we sat down with the Neo1973, and learned more about its features, three-phase road map, pricing, and how open software collaborators will be compensated for their contributions. We also took a gallery full of pictures. Read on…

See it for yourself.

My Father

Under the Sun 8 Comments

The Father’s Day is just around the corner. With the hype from the commercial side, the Mother’s Day has been far too weighted in the sense that everything is replaceable with gifts and stuff like that. Few of my friends from blog did came up with some posts to share about their mothers’ and mothers’ day alike.

Just over the last week, few of us met up to tok kok and sing song at the Leisure Mall. We were discussing about the commercialized world of Mother’s Day and then the coming Father’s Day. Not sure where I read the entry about the father, I begin to search high and low for it. After endless hours at the googling and with no idea what the thing is, I manage to find it under the context of poem. It was by Ann Landers.

My Father

When I was: Four years old: My daddy can do anything.

When I was: Five years old: My daddy knows a whole lot.

When I was: Six years old: My dad is smarter than your dad.

When I was: Eight years old: My dad doesn’t know exactly everything.

When I was: 10 years old: In the olden days, when my dad grew up, things were sure different.

When I was: 12 years old: Oh, well, naturally, Dad doesn’t know anything about that. He is too old to remember his childhood.

When I was: 14 years old: Don’t pay any attention to my dad. He is so old-fashioned.

When I was: 21 years old: Him? My Lord, he’s hopelessly out of date.

When I was: 25 years old: Dad knows about it, but then he should, because he has been around so long.

When I was: 30 years old: Maybe we should ask Dad what he thinks. After all, he’s had a lot of experience.

When I was: 35 years old: I’m not doing a single thing until I talk to Dad.

When I was: 40 years old: I wonder how Dad would have handled it. He was so wise.

When I was: 50 years old: I’d give anything if Dad were here now so I could talk this over with him. Too bad I didn’t appreciate how smart he was. I could have learned a lot from him.

Just by going through this poem again once stirred my emo-ness. I do miss talking to him.
