Heavier Rain

Under the Sun No Comments

Two nights ago, I was with a couple of my friends. It happened to be one of them having a leaking rooftop. He was complaining about the contractor whom doing the repair. Costly and hard to get him to start work too.

At the same time, there’s one minor part of my bathroom is leaking water when there are heavier rain. The last time I told the management to fix it, I had been scolded because it’s not the roof problem. It’s the rain.

And then I came across the article from the newspaper here. It says that global changes in the weather pattern that resulted in heavier rain is to be blamed for the recent leaks at the Parliament building.”

So, I came to a conclusion that if there is any future complains about the leaking or leakage of rooftop throughout the world, it will has to be with the heavier rain. Nothing else. Nothing more. Nothing less. “Act of God lah”

Paranoid or Background Check?

Under the Sun 2 Comments

This morning when I was going through the statcounter, I stumble upon a keyword, which is the name of my friend… Mr. Teh Eng Haw. Somehow and somewhat someone googled his name. Yes. His name in quote.

 Paranoid or Background Check?

Previously, another old friend of mine also did the googling of his name and came to my site. Otherwise, he wouldn’t take his fairly own sweet time to call me. It was a great thing to hear from him.

Anyway, I recalled that I once read about the effect of blogging and the vast information available on the Net. Some of the employers would actually googled the person they are going to hire to find out more about the person.

In terms of personalities, credibility and so on so forth. Now my thought is this. Is it my dear friend is changing job again that the employer googled him or he himself googled himself to see if he had anyone just like me whom posted his name up. icon razz Paranoid or Background Check?

So, have you tried google your name before? icon biggrin Paranoid or Background Check?

Open letter to Zewt

Under the Sun 18 Comments

First and foremost, Zewt as we know has been well known for his brain. Errr.. in the other sense, thought. Knowingly well for his great insight of things around us, he inspired many through various of his post. Covering all aspect of life, if not yet.

Hence when I saw that he is going to stop blogging altogether, I was devastated deeply. Appearantly for what reason? Then I came to read his post.

He feels threaten as a blogger. Why? He extracted the post from the news.

“… three laws could be used against the bloggers: The Internal Security Act (ISA), Sedition Act and Section 121b of the Penal Code”.

The first Act is sufficient enough to justify the fear factor within each and every bloggers in Malaysia. I felt the same way too. But fear not. You did not flame anyone right? or anything that threaten the issues in Malaysia right?

“We will not permit any party to disturb the nation’s harmony and cause unease among the community,” he said.

And if you did not does any of the below. No worries.

“This is to put a stop to the freedom to lie in the blogosphere.

“We want blogs to be clean, a place to obtain accurate information, a reference point for honest opinion, not a platform to abuse and slander people,” he said.

I hereby plea to you to reconsider not to quit blogging. For if you are quitting, I believe I also have a fair share of the first degree of offense too. :p
