Malaysian Dotcom Youth Search 2008

Rantings Ramblings

We got spammed!!!!

spam-ym

Someone happened to put everyone in CC list instead of BCC list whereby the all emails are being exposed. Thus, I got spammed big time. Thanks!

Here’s some of the list…i couldn’t just copy all since some emails might be exposed. :p

Hi to all! I dont know this will happend like this!
It is wonderful!
Haha i use gmail so my mails will group all together!

Anyway, please visit my blogs at:
****not going to advertise here****

joshuatly2008

and then there is this

To the brilliant people who exposed our emails and the other more brilliant ones who followed suit by replying all to the series of email,

Kindly copy all the addresses in the CC part and paste it into the BCC part. I do not appreciate this reply-alls. After all, you are no better than Youth08 itself.

Instead of punishing everyone else on the list, send your email of complaint to Youth08 (youth08 ) or even better blog about it. It needs to be highlighted in Google.

Who thinks we deserve an apology?

Hinching

Oh well, and here’s more…..

As if email is not enough..

they are SMSing us about the event! ahahahhahahaa

anyways.. im still thinking if I wanna go or not….
anyone going?

*joins the ReplyAll Bandwagon*

This is quite typical of YouthMalaysia actually - almost all the emails I get from them have everyone else’s email address. It’s called BCC, people.

While we’re here, let’s make this a networking opportunity, so we know who else is coming and who else has blogs.

Hello, I’m Tiara. The blog I’m nominating is EducateDeviate - http://educatedeviate.wordpress.com - which is all about young people and non-traditional education mainly in Malaysia. I am also trying to be a KaosPilot (student of a social enterprise school in Denmark), and the log of my progress can be seen at http://wannabeakp.wordpress.com .

BTW, on my EducateDeviate blog, I’m collecting names of inspiring young people to invite at conferences and events. Nominate yourselves and people you know :)

B*B, Tiara

and KuanHoong advised the gmail user to mute the conversation from SPAMMERS (aka bloggers)

Ok, before this gets out of hand, here is a simple tip for gmail users.. simply press m to mute this conversation, before every 396 people reply this email with their blog address posted at the end of every email. :P

Yeah~! Youth ma.. sure got the energy to channel it somewhere

On this day..
