Working. Work. Job. These 3 words are not the beauty to the ears. Most of my friends hated their jobs. Especially when it comes to yearly bonuses, these people are looking forward to but more than 1.5 of bonuses.
A friend of mine once said, “If it is a month of bonus, time to tender the resignation. If it is a two-month bonus, I’ll shake the boss hand and say thank you. If it is a three-month bonus, I would eventually call him Daddy for once.” Wait till I applied it to my work. I’ll bring it up to my bosses if they asked if I am happy with what I am getting.
Considering him lucky that his boss decided to give him at least 1 month bonus, in which reflecting to what he is making per month based on last year bonus payment. I was confused that I asked him, what do his boss meant by that. He said, “Let say I was getting RM1000 a month. Last year my bonus was 1.5 of the monthly salary. Hence it means I should be drawing RM1500 bonus. This year, my salary has been adjusted to RM1100. The boss asked what my bonus was last year, in which I told him as above. He told me that this year I will be getting the same as last year but of 1.0 of the salary.”
I looked into his face, which he later added “I’m getting RM1000 this year despite that the fact that the company is doing a good revenue.” How I wish I could tell him that he should consider himself lucky that he is not only drawing basic and commission but also the year-end bonus. I, myself doesn’t have the luxury of getting bonuses just because this company I am attached to does not practice it for the sales team. ?
Coming back to the above topic, here is why I find that work is a game of Dota.
In the game, we begin with Level 1. Having armed with nothing greater items, we need to gain experience and farm some gold in order to get better items. We might face with experience players and lost the lane control. There’s nothing much we can do but to preserve, trying very hard not to get killed along. Then it comes to the part where you getting cornered and gangbanging. A little reminder from the team mates is like getting some advice from the colleague. They are able to sense the change of the situation and informed us to be wary of getting killed in a trap.
We need to have the teamwork to survive at later stage. There is no “I” in a team. Like my boss love to say, “Hero dies first.” Therefore, team spirit is important which I would say it reflect to the same at work. We need to stick together in the work area among ourselves. In Dota that there will always be 3 different types of hero attributes; Strength, Agility and Intelligence. Same goes to work, that there will always be the roles to carry out. For example that there is Sales team, Operation team, Production team, Management Team, Finance and Admin Team and more. Each of this team is like different type of heroes characters; Supporter, Tanker, Killer, Healer, Carrier. Just name it.
When it comes to items, it just like the tools we had in work. A sales man can never go without a proper shoe, cell phones and name card. Just like arming a Tidehunter with Battlefury. Imagine getting Tide for a Agahim Specter. It’s just seems absurd. Like giving a programmer to run a multi-million dollar programming on a 386 system?
I’m just getting started with this topic. There are few more micro-Dota to explore that will tell you just apply the same rules at work from Dota, then that’s the whole law of the universe. It never changed.

As life in general, there are many phases. Everyone will eventually go through it. Either sooner or later. Maybe in sequences or maybe not. It is without you knowing it. The moment you realized it is over.
Some of these phases gives you sweet and warmth loving memories. You will smile just thinking about it. Never been before we will think about it. There more we think, the more we wanted to go back to that period of time in life. Just to cherish it one more time.

Some will leave a deep scar. So deep that you feels the agony, the pain and the bitterness whenever you think about it. Usually we can see it from the death, the mourning, the demise and so on. Letting it go is part of the process to go through in these stages. It is not so easy. It is not just we can let it go by talking about it. All I can say is only time heals. The length of the period needed is up to individual. It might takes days, or month and to some even years. Worse case is those can never let it go. They held it back deep inside their heart. Till the Ripper came knocking at their door.
Memories aren’t easy to forgotten. Be it sweet nor bad. It is just how we view it. Human have weak minds. We always try to logic ourselves out from the issues. Just my recent case, that I never thought about the outcome of my action. Indeed when it happens, it turns out to be a bad memory but on the other side of the table, it seems to be a sweet memory. After all, if I were to look into it as a process, it was good while it last. Sweet or not, I decided about it.
And some people say “that’s life”
Goes were those phases that are so mundane that we passed by unknowingly, unnoticeable and perhaps inappreciatively. Then when that phase is gone, we will realized that it was not well treasured. But what bygone be bygone; that that phase has ended hence there is no turning back. Can we opt to just regrets? I fairly doubt so. Yes, those phases are so mundane that we at times take it for granted. There is no point to cry over split milk. Instead I would rather to choose to find something from those phases to remember. Be it bitter sweet but as long as it is something I had before. Learn to appreciate all those. Make it as a blessing in disguise.

Come to the time we look back at those phases and start to wondering. Pondering about life. Then the ultimate question arise. “WHY?” Can we learn something out of it? Or we might not? Most of the time it is because we are looking at the wrong direction. It is there but we just keep looking far above that we often forgotten those below it. You always aims for the sky and stars but what about those beautiful doves flying around. Those colorful flowers? The crystal clear river and sea. The lushly green trees. So when it happen, make sure you know where to look at.
Being a human is a trial in life. We ought to seek for something. But not perfection. Only fools, mediocre fools will lust for perfection and continuously seeking it. The only perfection I learned from was there is top 10 perfection. All these perfection are the typical perfection but the last and the final one is the defective perfection. When we are able to embrace one’s weakness and defects, it becomes perfect. For we know that there’s no one is perfect.
So when we are down or happy, let just remember that it is just a part of the life phases we need to go through. Yes, if we are need to go through it why not make it a happier walk and journey instead?

When the phases of life is seems forever for you, it is because you still haven’t let it go. Reminds me of the story about the two monks and a beautiful woman.
Lately I keep refreshing an incident few years back. Or many years back in the first year of my secondary school at Setapak High. Inside my class, I had this classmate of mine by the name of Joe (name has been changed to protect the innocent). Often, he is kind of cool to hang around with. Right now I have no idea his whereabout. The last heard was he been addicted to drugs.
Hence, I wonder if all these time what we did to him were the root caused for him being into such a deep shit. It begins with a innocent intention. He wanted to hang with few friends and I. Most of all, the guys in my class were pretty cool. He wanted to be part of the gang. I wasn’t sure the main deal of it but one fine day, he came to tell us that there is this stationery shop whereby he can shoplift before coming to school.
He admitted that he had been stealing few liquid papers. Hence, in order to prove to us we requested him to get it more. Get one each for few of us. He told us that he needed some sort of distraction to distract the cashier lady. Thus our help was really needed. I didn’t turn up when he performed the act. But he did manage to steal unscathed. Not being able to be caught and later of the week, he bring the liquid paper to give it to few of the school kids. I didn’t get any from him.
A year after that, he seems like drifting away from school. Spending more time with the alike and finally, he is out of sight. At times, I do wonder if it was the our friends that encouraged him to took the wrong path of life. Become a wicked and crooked man. *sigh*
As I writing this post, I was wondering if the word liquid paper is an acceptable form of saying correction fluid. Not until I google it and found out the history of it - from the Wiki
After reading the article from the BBC, I couldn’t resist but wanted to ask Ahpek.
NEW YORK - Maybe men had it right all along: It doesn’t take long to satisfy a woman in bed. A survey of sex therapists concluded the optimal amount of time for sexual intercourse was 3 to 13 minutes. The findings, to be published in the May issue of the Journal of Sexual Medicine, strike at the notion that endurance is the key to a great sex life.
If that sounds like good news to you, don’t cheer too loudly. The time does not count foreplay, and the therapists did rate sexual intercourse that lasts from 1 to 2 minutes as “too short.”
Researcher Eric Corty said he hoped to ease the minds of those who believe that “more of something good is better, and if you really want to satisfy your partner, you should last forever.”
The questions were not gender-specific, said Corty (who, it must be noted, is male). But he said prior research has shown that both men and women want foreplay and sexual intercourse to last longer.
Dr. Irwin Goldstein, editor of the Journal of Sexual Medicine, cited a four-week study of 1,500 couples in 2005 that found the median time for sexual intercourse was 7.3 minutes. (Women were armed with stopwatches.)
It’s difficult for both older men and young men to make sexual intercourse last much longer, said Marianne Brandon, a clinical psychologist and director of Wellminds Wellbodies in Annapolis, Md.
“There are so many myths in our culture of what other people are doing sexually,” Brandon said. “Most people’s sex lives are not as exciting as other people think they are.”
Fifty members of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research in the U.S. and Canada were surveyed by Corty, an associate professor of psychology at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and student Jenay Guardiani. Thirty-four members, or 68 percent, responded, although some said the optimal time depended on the couple.
Corty said he hoped to give an idea of what therapists find to be normal and satisfactory among the couples they see.
“People who read this will say, ‘I last five minutes or my partner lasts 8 minutes,’ and say, ‘That’s OK,’” he said. “They will relax a little bit.”
Is it true since all these while Ahpek has been posting about sex and the stuff… :p
I am freaking sleepy tired.
Questions and plenty of questions to be asked. Or to be battered to say the least.
What on earth are they doing the blog?
Who are they mimicking?
Why start a blog now?
Where you want to end up?
Just so many questions and unanswered questions.
First, we as in the bloggers managed to put another blogger namely Jeff Ooi into the parliament. Then most of the information during the PRU12 or Malaysia 12th General Election were based on the Internet. It is considered fast and effective. Even though the coverage like we would like to believe it is very minimal. There are still majority whom have no access to it. But with those reading it over the web and share it at their favourite mamak stalls, everyone will eventually know about it.
Everyone is relying on the Internet for details especially when the 2 weeks campaign were launched. (at least those I knew of). Hence, the Barisan National suffered a tremendous fatality with the defeats. Unbearable. Some ended up six feet under while the rest still living in denial state. As for the rest, ended up speechless and went into hiding. (Need me to help you to write resignation letter)
So, since the General Election there have been new blogs. Where as last time they labeled and define us as “goblok” or so. If they were to tell us that we are bunch of goblok… hence why they are doing the way of goblok? Just by setting up the blog just will reflect their action and what they say. Hypocrisy? Maybe. In a way.
These two are the one that is incorrigible. What the fark they are doing here. Nonetheless, if anyone stumble upon new blog setup after the General Election and further added they were the sore losers.
Prior to my conversation with a fellow colleague, he asked about the Together Gather 2 and if any fehmes people on it.
I revert to him that yeah, there are plenty of fehmes people on it. Part of them are Rojaks, Suanie and me.
He added that Rojaks and Suanie, yes they are fehmes. But me Dale? *he roflmhaowsmsluita*
I told him that I am fehmes because all the fehmes bloggers know me.
its like hierarchy. pyramid.
lowest lifeforms only knew fehmes bloggers like Wingz and Suanie or KennySia
then these fehmes bloggers know me.. hence I am on top of the pyramid level.
just another way to comforting self
Most unaware of RM250 limited liability
CARDHOLDERS need not pay more than RM250 whenever
their lost or stolen
credit cards are used by others. Yet, oftentimes,
they end up paying much
more.
This is because Bank Negara has not informed
cardholders that they do not
have to pay more than RM250 for fraudulent
transactions carried out using
their lost or stolen cards, when they had not acted
fraudulently and had
informed the banks about the lost or stolen cards as
soon as possible.
This protection is given under Clause 13.2 of Bank
Negara’s Credit Card
Guideline (”The cardholder’s maximum liability for
unauthorised transactions
as a consequence of a lost or stolen credit card
shall be confined to a
limit specified by the issuer of credit cards, which
shall not exceed RM250
provided the cardholder has not acted fraudulently
or has not failed to
inform the issuer of credit cards as soon as
reasonably practicable after
having found that his credit card is lost or
stolen”).
Banks know about Clause 13.2 but have chosen to
ignore it. Instead they
pursue cardholders for the fraudulent transactions.
They will tell cardholders that a clause in the
credit card contracts states
that all transactions carried out before the loss of
the cards are reported
to the banks, are deemed to be carried out by the
cardholders.
Many cardholders then pay up because they are
unaware of the RM250 limited
liability.
Bank Negara should rule that:
.THE RM250 maximum liability on fraudulent
transactions is highlighted to
cardholders in the card agreements as well as in the
monthly card
statements.
.BANKS are not allowed to insert any clause in the
card agreement which is
contrary to Clause 13.2.
.BANKS should refund all money in excess of the
RM250 collected from
cardholders whose cases clearly come under Clause
13.2.
