Last night meeting up with partner at Tmn Melati OldTown Kopitiam, I stumbled upon my former employer - the boss of MRC (Mind Research Consultant). Not only the boss himself but also his right hand man, Mr. Tan.
At first, I was talking to my partner when Mr. Tan walked pass me. I saw him and eventually inevitable I stand up to greet him. It has been few years since I left the company. In fact, few of the former colleagues had a gathering a week before which just reminds me of the time working there.
Then the MRC boss came in. Btw, the company renamed to SMM already by now. I was looking at him to see if he recognize me in a way or two. He do have some recollection of who am I but I guess he never recalled my name. Hah! What make it worse was he asked what am I doing and I told him that I was doing fine.
Then he proceed to ask if I have anyone looking for an IT job. I told him I need to look around, which is an excuse that will set him at ease. Of course I wouldn’t want to introduce my friends there after all it has been no heaven for me there. With the exception of the colleagues whom are nice but the pay… let’s give some grace on that area.
Anyway, being a typical Chinaman company as I shared with my partner that he was a good *ahem* sc*mmer.
But heck, since I saw him not sure whether it is considered a blessing or a curse?
