A little of Saturday

Blogosphere, Outings 3 Comments

This weekend seems so fast. Now it’s Monday, and like any true orange form of cat.. one shall hate Monday.

It all begins with the morning call. It was so early that I can barely understand why… then i procastinate myself till noon before decided to get my arse up to Mid Valley. I told myself that I really seriously need to get Wilson a present for his room. I had nothing in my mind except getting him a lava lamp.

I reached Mid Valley in the shortest time required. Waste no time to go to the few shops to search around. I found one small shop selling sort of lava lamp. I asked the boss what type of lava lamp suitable. Since it is for the room and especially Wilson’s bedroom, he suggested to get for a small one. This way the room won’t be overheated from the lava lamp.

Blue Green Lava Lamp

Since I never been to his room nor knowing what kind of design, I opted for a mixture of blue and green lava lamp. It turned out to be perfectly suitable for his room. He had a blue base wall to start with. One side note is that Mid Valley does provide wrapping services for free, as long as the items are purchased there.

By the time I finished, it was around 2pm. CKYeo was going to pick me up in 3.30pm after fetching Sapphire. Few of us were planning to go for the Sally Yeh Live in SP Setia. Not after our dinner in Klang. Since it was impromptu, I called up Rabbit to bring us for good food. She brought us to “Hau Yi Seafood Restaurant” and CKYeo ended up with the piles of craps crabs.

Sally Yeh SP Setia Live

The show was good but we ended up left earlier than we thought because Sapphire wasn’t feeling well. After sending her back, we headed to Asia Cafe for dota session. Little did we know that we will see Sasha and her big family there. They were feasting. CKYeo saw Sasha’s hubby and nudged me about it. Since I don’t have Sasha’s number, I notify another blogger to kacau Sasha about it. Later next day, I received the sms as follow:-

Ha ha, your new job is bloggerrazzi ah?

Guess we really caught her this time. :P

It was in the midst of dota-ing, my headache starts. I had my fever there and then… which brings me to here. Anyway, it was all well end well.

Am I a bias blogger?

Blogosphere, To Ponder About No Comments

Speaking the matter from the heart, am i a threat or a bias blogger? Someone is speaking of his mind here.

Bloggers’ growing influence threatens those who do wrong

A neutral blogger shall side no parties. One had to be neutral. Can one person whom joined a party remained as neutral as possible? Will it happened? Then can we still trust and believe that what he posted is true? A state the matter of fact? Some would say that the paid post are bias post whereby the author themselves are being paid to write the right thing.

I think the Who Wants to Be A Millionaire also will be a bias one. How irony. Hahaha…

What say you?

I Not Stupid, Hooray~

Blogosphere, Rantings Ramblings 1 Comment

Reading this news actually an assurance to me - that I not stupid.

Not all bloggers are stupid, says Zam

KUALA LUMPUR: Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin says not all bloggers are stupid as some of them are informative, knowledgeable and disseminate positive views on current issues.

The ones that were mostly goblok (stupid, in Indonesian) were political bloggers who float rumours and create hatred among the people, he said yesterday.

He said political bloggers “blatantly abused the freedom of the Internet.”

“Readers of these blogs read them to pass time and for fun, akin to reading a ghost story. The people must be able to distinguish between goblok bloggers and bloggers,” he added. – Bernama

Does it reflects that most of the political bloggers… eeerrr, in his case, ALL which can be safely replace the word “mostly” are stupid a.k.a. goblok ?

Profound it seems..that its seems like ghost story. Does this mean that he meant the content and the posts are made of story whereby nothing is true? Remained as ghost story? What is real and what’s not?

My 20cent of paid blogs

Blogosphere, Site News 1 Comment

Getting paid for blogging isn’t that bad after all. First, we get to make money from it. And with money we bring in happiness. We bring more food to the table. Enough money to feed the people living under the same roof with me.

Many claims that the paid blogs are no longer interesting. They said that I had too much of payperpost that I ended up with no more readership. People no longer come to my blog to read my posts. All of the post seems crappy. I hear you not. I did. I still blog with passion. Just occassionally I had blog block. Seriously, wanting to do a few posts but ended up either procastinate or not much of time around.

Ask AhPek whom are suriving through blogs. He had a whole family to feed. Ask Lilian. She took up paid blogs for her time. Flexibility and able to spend more time with her kids. Ask me. I doing paid post for my gadgets fund. Everyone doing the paid post for money. But what is the money for? Money can buy everything. But money cannot buy time. Blogging can buy you some of the time. Away from the daily travel to office, punching your cards and work your asses off for the rest of 10 hours.

Looking at a bright side. As a Malaysian, we bring in money. Forex. Advertisers from all over the world. It’s a good sign for the country except that I myself also don’t know how the taxation and the income going to take place. :p

Recently I spoke to a blog friend of mine. He was asking about the payperpost I did recently. I told him that I was doing the paid posts with the help of konfucious. One of his remarks was that he still prefer the originality of the existence of blogs. Blogs that come from the passion to share. Share the tits and bits of one’s life. He intend to keep it that way.

Truly agree with his statement. I often think back that the purpose of the existence of my blog. I started with the passion of experimenting. And from there, planning to keep the part and parcel of my life, my memories and my mind in to the Internet. To kept by the WWW. Which will come back and haunt me when I least expect it. Someone might come to me and say “last time you never blog about it this way also.. you have changed”

Irregardless of what the people might view it, it’s just a blog after all. All I wanted is to blog for myself. A form of expression of myself…

Last but not least, last week he told me that he had signed up for paid posts program. He wanted to get extra income for his online gaming purpose. To buy an avatar I think. It is a good sign.

my111 nandos 53

Blogosphere, Outings 1 Comment

It was an impromptu. I didn’t even notice why did the hell there were a plenty of search engine keyword about this “my111 nandos” until the very last minute, CKYeo called me.

He informed that the bunch of BlueServer people are heading to the nearest nandos for free meal. Surprising I asked, what is with the free meal? he told me to sms the keyword “my111 nandos” to 33365 to get the free meal coupon/voucher.

Then I recalled and googled for it. It direct it to my earlier fwded post which I did not even read about it. How silly me. Anyway, we headed to the Mid Valley Nandos with few of them. All of us got free meals but the point is, we need to be separated. Only one meal per table.

So, sitting far apart each of us have to pretend not knowing one and another. :p

Feeling Chicken

Blogosphere, DOTA No Comments

It started innocently when I was trying out my picasa. I never tried before and was wondering how good it is. Like the great once said “there will be no female bloggers if there isn’t photoshop”. I need to try that out.

As the Picasa scanned the harddisk, I found viola… my collection of photos from my phone book. Ehm… I found this.

Lisan&Drumstick

It was taken when Lisan was supposingly be away to UK to further her studies / visiting her brother. I guess it was a fiasco, hehe. CKYeo was there too. And we headed for Dota after that.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) – The government was today urged to form a cyber police unit to maintain surveillance over the acivities of bloggers.

Federal Territory Umno youth head, Datuk Paduka Norza Zakaria said the Internal Security; Energy, Water and Communications; Science, Technology and Innovation; and Information Ministries should also take immediate action on the matter.

“The government should take firm action against the irresponsible bloggers according to existing law,” Norza said in a statement representing Umno youth at state levels.

The statement was issued following a police report made by Umno on July 23 against the owner and operator of “Malaysia Today”, Raja Petra Kamarudin, for publishing sensitive comments on the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s position and on racist issues through the blog’s website on July 11 2007.

Norza said according to section 121 (B) and Section 123 of the Penal Code, Section 4 of the Sedition Act 1948, Section 263 and 266 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, being a publisher, Raja Petra Kamarudin was responsible for providing clear warning to every person who gives comments that they were responsible for their comments.

He said Umno Youth wanted stern action to be taken against Raja Petra including under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for failing to carry out his responsibilities.

Norza also asked the mainstream media not to publish unconfirmed information from websites.

The people must wise up to “goblok” (political bloggers) because some of them were willing to become tools of others to destroy the nation, said Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin.

He said these bloggers belonged to groups with limited knowledge and had evil intentions.

“They support foreign elements bent on destroying our beloved country,” he told reporters after launching the 2007 Jalur Gemilang (National Flag) Convoy in front of the Merdeka (Independence) Declaration Memorial in Bandar Hilir here today.

The Price to Pay

Blogosphere, Reviews No Comments

The year is 2057, 5 scores from the years before. The vast advancement of the technology, with the introduction of the micro computing. A hybrid of the nano technology on electron and mechanical. The world had then become a smaller place. All living in a virtual society. In fact, the virtual village has been costing million of money involved. The last heard was the Giggle had become the single solution corporation. Covering all sort of chain of supplies.

In this minor shape piece of land, a young chap in his 20s now working from home. He not only working as the consultant in the medical line. Providing advises and issuing the prescription online. Like his generation, he had himself a blog with a huge fan base. Millions of his fans tune to his blog every hour. It is sensational thing of the time. However, 2 years ago… he had lost everything. He was vanished from the cyberspace. No one knew what happened to him. Some says that he was conquered. Some say he was abducted by aliens.

Now that he is back. He blogged about his 2 year experience. The first post begins like this.

The night couldn’t be any darker in the days. I was in the midst of doing tubing (similar to old days of YouTube) when somehow the electricity kick off. The room was consumated by the darkness. It’s only pitch black. I barely could see anything. Not even my own hand. Suddenly, my window glass break and followed with the flashes of bright light. I was temporarily blinded as my pupil was wide open to see in the dark, the flashes of light doesn’t give an ample time for the changes.

It seems for the next 30 seconds, I am lost in my own room. Hearing footsteps climbing over the window pane, I was forced to ground. Taken by surprise, I was helpless. At that moment, I can only pray and I weep in fear for not knowing what happened. They are men in uniform. Vaguely, I remembered that there were some initial on their shirt…. Something with I,5,A.

By the time I know, counting the numbered days… the Earth had been circling the Sun twice. In these hard times, I barely could catch a glimpse of ray from the Sun……

And that was the story…

Open letter to Zewt

Blogosphere, Rantings Ramblings 9 Comments

First and foremost, Zewt as we know has been well known for his brain. Errr.. in the other sense, thought. Knowingly well for his great insight of things around us, he inspired many through various of his post. Covering all aspect of life, if not yet.

Hence when I saw that he is going to stop blogging altogether, I was devastated deeply. Appearantly for what reason? Then I came to read his post.

He feels threaten as a blogger. Why? He extracted the post from the news.

“… three laws could be used against the bloggers: The Internal Security Act (ISA), Sedition Act and Section 121b of the Penal Code”.

The first Act is sufficient enough to justify the fear factor within each and every bloggers in Malaysia. I felt the same way too. But fear not. You did not flame anyone right? or anything that threaten the issues in Malaysia right?

“We will not permit any party to disturb the nation’s harmony and cause unease among the community,” he said.

And if you did not does any of the below. No worries.

“This is to put a stop to the freedom to lie in the blogosphere.

“We want blogs to be clean, a place to obtain accurate information, a reference point for honest opinion, not a platform to abuse and slander people,” he said.

I hereby plea to you to reconsider not to quit blogging. For if you are quitting, I believe I also have a fair share of the first degree of offense too. :p
