Most people getting into dota nowadays. Or at least that I know of. However, what’s the hype of dota? what so fun when you controlling a hero and start massive slaughtering around for a hour plus for a match. What so fun of it. Yeah I know as I got addicted too. But let’s look into the reasons that causing the addiction.

Hence that the article by rdasia.com did a good study and research about it. In my case, I will be talking about the other areas of the addiction. To me, dota is addictive because of the numerous possibilities in order to win the game. Despite losing but as long as the battle between two side are tough and interesting, it serve as addiction. You feels like doing better the next round and the next round and the next round until you feel GODLIKE…

Just like last night when I was using Pudge. Tanker and killer. Interesting game I would say. It was the beauty of a hero which you are unfamiliar with, and learning to maximize its abilities to win the game. So, now with 77 heroes to choose from, you have plenty of choices. Not to mention the different combination of weapons/items to enhance your heroes. Likewise, wrong items can make you looks noob.

In the end, the important thing is that you on a killing spree.

After the longest timeframe for me to work on this stuff, it finally ends. However, today I feel like sick. Much to my dismay, I had headache. Many days of booze can’t even help me much. On the other hand, I did manage to write something off from the o2. It’s pretty much random too.

During the second match on 5.84c -ar mode, my team (Sentinel) consist of Bounty(me), Magina, Lina, Syllabear and Lich. On Scourge part, Kelvin(Visage), Siren, Skeleton King, Nerubian and SoulKeeper got pawned due to the lack of teamwork from Nerubian(Noob).

At the early of the game, I got killed and somehow… Kelvin typed a message stated “noob hai…”. I was like damn pissed off being provoked and decided to pawn him kao kao this time around. As long as he’s half of the hit point, I would go and backstab him. Make an item of MoM, PT, Basher and another Hammer to own Kelvin.

He was like damn pissed off when I pawned him 3 times in a row. Rofl. Revenge is sweet. And at the end of the day, no more yumchar. Go home and sleep but it’s worth pawning Kelvin last night.

I’ve choosen Centaur Warchief and in the battle between the hero, I used Centaur’s stomp to kill him. After he respawn, he noticed he lost his item. He complaint to his friend, “Eh, What the fuck. The Centaur stomp my item and somehow drop it”. Worse come to worse, his friend responded “No lah. You sure you got buy the item or not. You didn’t buy the item lah”.

In the midst of the match, they left the game and complaining the map have bugs. Kelvin and I laughed non-stop whilst wiping our tears and holding our stomachs.

There is other time when we saw zeus getting blink sword and refresher. Thus, I was on the scrouge team versus sentinel (Kelvin’s team). It was so funny that their Zeus hiding in the base, do nothing when the rest of the team pushing into my base. The Zeus added that all of his teammates are noobs. Going to suicide while he waiting at the base, awaiting the time to kill steal.

A little check at whois.sc shows that the server is located in Malaysia. It’s a lot better than playing on Bnet where you keep getting kick as our connection to US is damn slow.

On the other hand, the version 6.15 shows the remake of Silencer and Chen. Ehm…Still not much players in version 6. Version 5.84c stills the favourite. ]]>

After an intensive searching, i found out the old DotA Mercenaries is the old single play DotA map. Totally out of the league. Thank god there is one link to latest version of Mercenaries in LowYat Forum

I might download and run it at home. Meanwhile, another DotA session last night proven that playing with noob can be very frustrating. Played 3 games with Techie, Dragon Knight and Tormented Soul respectively. Early both games were a frustration. 2 noobs in my team giving free kill. The final game with opposition having a leaver and 2 noob, we were able to break their towers in 30 minutes. Pushing through was a little hard with TideHunter and Luna upgraded with few specials items.

Sleepless night. Yum char and playing dota until 7.20am. After that go home and sleep.

The day called yesterday : -
Wake up at 9.30 am, going to office to collect payslip.
Lepak in office until 3-4pm while watching House Of Fury directed by Stephen Fung. Not a 5 star movie but i would give 2.5 out of 5 for rating.
Reach home, sleep at 7 until 8pm.

Another outing to watch XXX2: The Next Level with Kelvin at TGV,KLCC. Ivan don’t want to join. Later he joined us for yumcha after he went for a movie called Divergence with his brother.

At 11.30pm -3am, we were talking crap and shit for nothing at all. Decided for a breakfast session with Shaun, Kee Suan and Satheesh in Air Panas. We head for cybercafe called RightZone. Heard it charge RM1 per hour. Cheap deal huh? Until 10.30 pm, we kena con. Total cost per person is RM13.50. Was playing Serious Sam for hours. Sigh*

Had breakfast at 11.30am and headed for a car wash in Ivan’s place. Reach home at 1.30pm, take a shower and watch D.E.B.S. on vcd disc 1. Haven’t complete watching it and straight headed for bed. Wake up at 6pm, fetch Kee Suan and teach him dotA for an hour.

Dinner at 8pm and now i’m here blogging. I think that’s all i wanted to say.

I asked my friend what item build i need to get in order to win this game. Boot of Speed, Nullis, Orge Axe and Broadsword to get a BKB. I was like, okay. Then i go for the bottom right alone facing Phantom Assassin. After level 6, i begin to look hero to kill. At that moment, Scourge had moving into the middle breaking a tower. Using my ulti, i manage a kill. Silencer death. After a few time me able to get the ultimate before he was to silence me, he started to get pissed off.
I presume it was a bug and it didn’t silence me at all. So, who was it to blame? He was furious and requested for a rematch. Reluctantly, we did and when i managed a first kill on the same person known as Ah Dee, he damn fucking pissed off and started for physically threatening me and Kelvin. I was like.. what the fuck? You call this civilized person? I was brought up not to prejudge a person but from his attitude, i can conclude that he was really an uncivilized bastard according to my former tutor in Kasturi Tuition Centre.

Sometime, it was hard to play dota. In fact, when i started to rematch.. i really losing the mood. Everyone was flaming each other. Calling names. Blardy hell. Can’t take up the game is it? Not sporting at all. Last night also the same condition. A bug causes one of the hero unable to use spells after revival. It become permanent on that hero. Pity, he had to leave the game.

I think sooner or later, the cyber cafes will become the next gambling center. Each team bet money and whoever win takes all. Imagine, most of the visitors of cybercafes are youngsters and even “samseng” also young and techno-hype type of people. =)

On the other hand,i’m currently chatting with an old time friend who curious about blogging. He was curious how much we can make per month via blogging. I didn’t answer him and i leave it for him to find out himself. Needless to say, MalaysiaBloggers.com is one of the best way to find out. Go visit them today. His brother started blogging for 4 months and started to get few cents via PayPal. Isn’t it cool?
Even Hustler had dedicated a post regarding traffic and making money online. Too bad he had been flaming and so on from someone whoever they are. He finally decided to close down the site for good. *wish he will be back and provide more stories for us*

I’m considering doing a photo gallery soon. The details still unsure and yet more to be give a deep thought about. I wonder if there’s any Setapakian who blog. ( I mean those who from class of ‘99) coz’ i met Ganesh and Harjit few days ago. Of course, both in different time.
