When we were kids, we will have our own kind of stuff that we cling on to. Something we believe in that the items provide us security. We had emotions and feelings upon those things. I’ve asked a few, and I came to know a few who had. I myself personally do have one too. It might be embarassing to talk about stuff like that. But hey, it’s something personal okay~!
Some called it security blanket, cuddles in UK or sort. In fact, about 60% of the child population had at least some sort of attachment to a security object. Be it soft toys, blanket, bolster and much more. It becomes also as an comfort object. It brings back the level of serenity within the childs.
In fact, I do have one. Yes. I did. And I shared with her not long ago. It is a quilt, and it has accompany me for the past 20 odd years. It was my best friend. No matter how hard and harsh was me to it, it never leaves me. Of course it can’t. Hahaha…. anyway, it some sort of a way provide me the feelings of being comfort. Now, it just sit under one of those luggage bag, hidden. Before that even when I was in primary, I used to had it with me. It is really worn out. Inside out. Outside in. Being into the washing machine numerous times, it still manage to stand against the test of time.

How about you? do you, my readers had some of those memories? In fact, even I asked Lisan, she also said she got a few throughout her age. She had from Lili, Baby and now is Junior. Ehmmm…..Reminds me of the time I named my sister’s teddy bears. A lot of time. Let me see… got Bobo, Gigi, Koko….Got mouse, dogs, cats, bears, panda and well, I forgotten…. hahaha… but there was like about 20 of them.. I think Rabbit also got one or two. Maybe she named for the teddy bear that CKYeo gave her when she was hospitalized?
After doing the tag from AhPek, he just reminds me to pen down all the memories I had in High School. For that matters, I will grow old one day, and totally forgetting about the good old memories with my bunch of friends.
I never really cheated in exam. Minus the SPM time of course, which is totally unrelated matters which will find some time to talk about it. My first cheat which got caught was back in Form 4. It was pretty obvious. That time was cheating in History examination. Back then, the History subject seemed tough with the need to remember names and dates.
Somehow, during the first semester in Form 4 that due to the lack of interest, most of us unable to answer the examination. Out of all the questions, I manage to recalls some of the subjects mainly the socialism and such. Hence with Ivan referring the textbook, and I manage to pen down my answers, we exchanged our answers sheet.
Who knows that not only he copy the entire things without modification, but passed around to few more of my friends. There was a big hoohaa as even the top student also seems lost. He claimed that it was due to the Choral Speaking activities that we slacked. Almost everyone was copying someone during that examination of the History paper.
Now thinking back, it was fun and exciting breaking the rules. Hehe.
AhPek kindly giving me the honor of the tag of the title above. To write a story how notti I was in school back then. But I so blur that when I read his blog, only poem. I thought I was suppose to blog about any poem. That’s not true. Eventually I have to scout the previous tagger and found out the rules as follows:-
1. Write about one of your naughties moment in secondary school
2. Story must not be shorter than 20000 words. Jk. Just dont make it too brief lah
3. Tag bloggers who you think have really interesting stories to tell. Don’t go “ah i wont tag anyone” .
Walking down the memory lane, I have not much of naughties moment as most of my time I am a goody 2 shoe in school. Nothing much happened as I tried my best to behave myself there.
Since Form 3, my group of friends were one of the noisiest group. There was one time that we been relocated to a old block, with no utilities for that particular year which in Form 4. We remained there until Form 5. The teachers complained that even at the teacher’s lounge they could even heard our voices.
While in Form 3, there were about 6-7 of us whom are particularly sitting in a group. Even when the teacher is teaching we would be discussing or talking among each other. One day while we were chit chatting among each other, suddenly the Malay Language teacher called a friend of mine whom sitting behind me. He was day dreaming, I guess.
The teacher threw him a question from the textbook. “Apakah Komen Anda?” which translated to “what is your comment on this?” Since we were talking and sing song while she was teaching, we all have no idea what to answer. Another friend, Dan being smart whispered “No Comment”. This friend whom was stood up to answer the question replied nonchalantly “No Comment!”. Out of sudden, we all burst into tears laughing out load. We couldn’t imagine that he would gave such answer.
The teacher was at first shocked. She later calmed herself down and proceed with the lecturing of the rest of us. But there are more than what I have mentioned which reminds me of the story of the cheating during exam.
Asking me to tag some bloggers? Well, let’s see what this VI boy got to tell. After all, VI boys ain’t saint either. :p
I also wanted to know what would this linpeh do when he was in secondary
Thinking back, what I did in school? Let me go back to the primary school. I still remember some stuff that was really bad. But overall I was a goody two shoe kind of kid.
First of all, when I was in Standard 4, I was nominated by my teacher to be the prefect. Hence I become one and worse come to worse, I was mischevious. There was one time I forgot to do my homework so the next day, my teacher was furious especially the prefect (me) whom suppose to be the role model does his homework to meet the deadline of the submission. I opted for my best act. Pretend to be a nut case. I didn’t gave any reaction to her. This really drive her up the wall which resulted me, being one of the prefect to be punished to finish the homework alongside the corridor with the rest of those whom didn’t finish their homework.
Another time was ought to be funny. It turned out that I had all the effect on me.
Once I was instructed to get my subject teacher to be in for her slot. Hence, I managed to catch her in the teacher’s lounge and she told me that she’ll be in a 10 minutes time. Upon returning to my classroom, I told the rest of them, “Guys, time to have fun and make noise!!” Guess what, the class really live to it and the next thing I knew was my subject teacher came in furious. The class was out of control. The rest was history. I got blamed for every mess I created. That’s ok but it caused me to lose credibility to preside as the school head of prefects. Hahaha….
That’s all about my primary school time. However in secondary, there were so much incident that happened that will be too much to be told. Believe it or not, you can just select the category - Setapak High for more of my story. Here, I’ll share one of those stories that haven’t been written.
*this post was written because I did not read AhPek instruction properly….. *
Since when we were young, we been planted with this question. “What you wanted to be when you grow up?” Often, the question was posted by either our parents, relatives and even our school teachers. What kind of answer that they might expected from us? A home maker? A loving father? A loyal and filial son?
No, as the matter of fact, they were expecting something to do with the nature of profession. Be it engineer, doctor, lawyer or even architect. Speaking about it, I still kept my list of ambition when was interviewed by my teacher in primary years. Come to think of it was pretty silly.
From being a teacher, to lawyer, policeman, be in the army, scientist and more. It seems even interesting because the ambition was being planted in as a seed. When we grew up, we might choose to omit these ambition that once was the burning desire. Perhaps due to the understanding of how the real world outside operates.
This reminds me of the story that was brought up during my school years. There was this student that was always slacking behind in his studies. Paying no attention to the classroom teachings as well as treated his school life as waste of time. Hence, one fine day the teacher asked him a question. “What you wanted to do in life if you don’t study well?” The student stood up, with the confident and excitment in his face. His eyes was sparkling and deep inside you can see a fighter within him. He told the teacher that to be a bus driver for Len Seng.1. He was so passionate about the job he wanted to do. When listening to his words, you can feels what he feels. He added that he wanted to be the bus driver especially that serve the route to Air Panas, Setapak.
He said that it is one of the coolest profession and able to speed, overtake and drive recklessly like his father own the road. The Setapakians will cheer for him and his driving skills. Nonetheless, no one knows what happened to him after that.
So,what was your ambition back then? Why do you choose it? Just don’t tell me crap about like “for World Peace” or even worse, “Majulah Blogging Untuk Negara”. Ask yourself and tell the truth. Nobody have the right to say you are wrong coz’ you are not responsible to reply to them.
“After I told them that was not acceptable, they went right ahead and did it.”

Recalling the times I babysit my nephews and nieces, I enjoy being with them. It makes me feel like kids once more. Young. Innocent. Vibrant. Carefree. They have no worries what the current world is having about. Only know about playing and crying and fighting and seeking attention.
Back then when they were young and curious, they tend to like to do things when we told them not to. Just like when I told them, don't play with fire. What they did? They go and play with it. I have this niece whom now studying in secondary school once did a thing we asked her not to. She was only 4 years old back then. My aunt and uncle operate a stall. Food stall to be exact. Selling grilled stuff, which we need to have hot and spicy stuff as sauces. Hence, we have to grind the chili, lime, and some other trade secret ingredients that makes the chili sauce one of the best in Setapak, some say Gombak as well.
Once fine day, she was sitting next to my aunt and me handpicking the good chili and separating the bad ones. Somehow, she managed to grab herself the chili and stuffed into her mouth. We was like flabbergasted when she chewed on it. A few times later, she stopped. Her facial expression changed. Tears forming at her eyes. The rest was history. We took hours and hours to get rid of the hotness at her lips and she ever since dare not touch the chili anymore.
I guess it's human nature to do things what they aren't suppose to do. The challenge and defying the authority. Like "No Smoking" and literally you see aplenty smoking around. When you told them "Do Not Touch" they go and touch. Reminds me of a friend of mine, where his gf asked him to use a bag which he choose not to. Nevermind but when asked him to pull out, he insisted to stay inside. What to do? "Kao Chut Yan Meng"1 and the rest is history.
I don’t know what am I doing here in the office. The piece of tender resubmission just totally absurd. First of all, I’m wasting my time in office waiting for email. Yeap~! The blardy email from my principal. Sometimes it just pissed me off having such principal to work with. WTF!!
Since I got nothing better to do than just waiting or surfing or working on my report, hence here’s some pictures. Way past back in Jalan Kuantan (2) time.
Looking at it just bring back old memories. Who can guess which 1 am i? Nobody cares huh? Saw sotongking inside as well. We had been friends like for since 1989. Almost 18 years. Imagine that we stick through the tough times in primary and secondary school period. That’s why he is one of my best friends ever I ever had in my life.
And hence the day of Choral Speaking 1998 defeat in Bukit Bintang Girl School (BBGS). I see a lot of handsome/leng chais in the photo. See from our smiles were so vibrant and energetic. That was before we knew of the result. We thought we had the chance to win. Even worthy of mentioned and recognized. But no. Not even slightest recognition given by the judges. Who cares. We proclaim ourselves instead.
And every time I saw the picture below, it just brings back the old memories of our dear mr. Kah Hon with the Milo.

Fuiyoh.. Almost 10pm. Time to go back for dinner. Manage to post some pics in friendster coz it’s more appropriate to put it there instead. ![]()
