Thomas L. Friedman wrote a nice article last week that inspired me. It got me thinking… of my nation; my country. Are we going to have a nation-building society? a hopeful nation-building people?

In his column, he stated:-

Traveling the country these past five months while writing a book, I’ve had my own opportunity to take the pulse, far from the campaign crowds. My own totally unscientific polling has left me feeling that if there is one overwhelming hunger in our country today it’s this: People want to do nation-building. They really do. But they want to do nation-building in America.

Looking into Malaysia, this country of mine where she is undergo a transition of power. This changes… it shows through the recent general election that we, the people care about the nation. Everyone wants to do their role in nation-building.

It’s good to be in Malaysia… not.

1. LHDN spent a lot on the IT infrastructure as well as paying huge amount for bandwidth. But it cannot cater for the surge of traffic?

a) Is it the system is not ready for the e-Filing?
b) Is the bandwidth in sufficient?
c) Is the LHDN under the cyber warfare attacks? DDoS / Zombies attack?
d) Is the people inside not doing their job?
e) Did they analysis the take up rate as compared to last year? Increment of how many percentage?

2. LHDN did not have enough envelope when I went to submit my tax declaration yesterday. I was informed that I need to deposit my documents in a box. However, when I obtained the form I was not given any envelope. Some LHDN branches practicing different way of doing things.

a) the one at Menara Kausar only allow the document to be submitted in a sealed envelope. They did not provide sufficient envelopes. No form of acknowledge mechanism were identified.
b) the one at the Pandan Indah allows the document to be submitted without an envelope. They will acknowledge the receipt of the photocopy of the document.

I ended up confuse which is the right way for a first timer like me.

3. Going to both RHB and CIMB in Pandan Indah to get the Western Union Fast Cash. Both systems are down. Questions:-

a) Since these banks are the agents for Western Union, is the Western Union does not provide sufficient facilities to accomodate the services?
b) Is the banks shortchange the service? How come even the RHB at the KLCC also the same. Except that the system isn’t down. It’s just purely slow.
c) The services suck. big time. I was informed that the system was down. Hence, I told them that I been waiting for some time until it was my turn, the system goes offline. Great. What was the option? I asked. I been told that I can go to the BSN or Bank Rakyat to do the collection there. Yeah… right. Thanks alot. That’s helpful.

*My own personal remarks*
All the branches at the bank are connected via a private network provided by the local service provider here. Be it Telekom Malaysia or Time or watever. The monopolization of the infrastructure makes it costly for all the branches to have a higher bandwidth. Hence, giving each branch around 1Meg or 512k is not sufficient enough…. and btw, there are too many factors to be considered about.

However, the main point is it need to take some time to make the changes.

So, tell me about Malaysia.. tell me about it. It’s a love and hate relationship.

It has been a very hectic week. Just because of the tender submission and RFI submission deadline close to each other, I had to put more effort for them. Simply any sort of mistake is unacceptable at all.

Finally, at this time I managed to completed two (2) RFI and one (1) tender submission. With these 3 stuff occupying my mind, I had no room for anything. Just being very blank and blur despite I yet still have to handle daily requirements from the partners and customer. Working in the sales line is very demanding of your time, especially if we wanted to meet the customer or the partner’s expectation.

There are still few things that clouded my mind. I do hope I can think straight but it seems its getting tough. With the ongoing demand and pressure for the numbers, its just pushing me off to the edge. At times, I really wanted to pen down few over the blog but when I just staring at the screen I had the blog block. Earlier I had all the title and content to put into words but as I managed to work on 2 sentences… it just stop there. Not moving. Not going anywhere.

And I am still blur. For that there are 26 and 28 to anticipate. Tender preparation and tender submission again.

I am just the blurry type again.

Questions and plenty of questions to be asked. Or to be battered to say the least.

What on earth are they doing the blog?
Who are they mimicking?
Why start a blog now?
Where you want to end up?

Just so many questions and unanswered questions.

First, we as in the bloggers managed to put another blogger namely Jeff Ooi into the parliament. Then most of the information during the PRU12 or Malaysia 12th General Election were based on the Internet. It is considered fast and effective. Even though the coverage like we would like to believe it is very minimal. There are still majority whom have no access to it. But with those reading it over the web and share it at their favourite mamak stalls, everyone will eventually know about it.

Everyone is relying on the Internet for details especially when the 2 weeks campaign were launched. (at least those I knew of). Hence, the Barisan National suffered a tremendous fatality with the defeats. Unbearable. Some ended up six feet under while the rest still living in denial state. As for the rest, ended up speechless and went into hiding. (Need me to help you to write resignation letter)

So, since the General Election there have been new blogs. Where as last time they labeled and define us as “goblok” or so. If they were to tell us that we are bunch of goblok… hence why they are doing the way of goblok? Just by setting up the blog just will reflect their action and what they say. Hypocrisy? Maybe. In a way.

These two are the one that is incorrigible. What the fark they are doing here. Nonetheless, if anyone stumble upon new blog setup after the General Election and further added they were the sore losers.

1. Welcome Dr.Khir to the blogosphere. He is no longer MIA anymore. On top of that, we can always welcome him to our TGG2 as normal blogger.

2. With this Fitna endless going and the whole society of Islamic countries with planning to boycott the Holland’s product, what will happened to Heineken? Will it be still available in the country?

Others… deferred till later when I have mood, less stress and watever.

He suffered from heart attack and died. Now, the question is what is the reason behind his death?

1. Was it the defeat from the PRU12/General Election Malaysia 2008 ?

2. Was it because the rumors about the Selangor state fall into the hands of Alternatives Front (Barisan Alternative) also known as the Opposition?

3. Was it because I requested for Khalid mobile number so I can sms him to request that the first new Selangor government project is to tear down is so-called istana?

4. Or was it because he wanted to leave a legacy?

5. Lastly, the Chinese had this saying “Yat Sei Liu Zi” - One good death ended everything.

Well, since he already passed away may he rest in peace….

thanks to the cough syrup, flu pill and a can of Coke.

restless….. again

I’ve been telling myself that I should do a filler post after such long time of absence. Indeed, I have been lack of update due to procrastination? In the end, it makes no excuse not to doing anything right at the moment.

Finally, with the courage and the “just do it “attitude which currently I am sitting with some of that. Thus this is the post I am doing right now. It seems like that my words are incoherent that my entire paragraph doesn’t sound right at all. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I haven’t been working much on my words lately.

Turning to the year of 2008, it just presents me with such challenges ahead. Not that I wanted to complaint or so but the idea I am getting is that I wonder how can I grow strong and gain the sufficient faith to overcome these obstacles ahead. I can see it from afar and yet I do nothing to confront it when times come. Having the attitude of I’ll cross the bridge when I comes to it, it does not help at all.

I drafted a few posts but incomplete. Left it halfway in the midst, I would end up deleting them when the time comes. Here’s the in fact the first draft I drafted in the year of 2008. Keen to post up my 2008 resolution, I held back for the so-called idea and inspiration to come. Yet, the truth is that inspiration will not come to me unless I really doing the post. Just do it.

I been wanting to blog something. Anything. Everything. Well, I was hoping to do a better blog post rather than just a filler post. There’s nothing inside the post where as the content, the emotions and the feelings that channel through it. I don’t want it to be blank post.

Noticed that nowadays, the emo post doesn’t comes easily already. It comes with a cost. And to me, I couldn’t do any much better than current. Most of my posts are just plain blank. In fact, I been holding back from posting because it started to get tough on me. I couldn’t simply just begin a post and finished it. In fact, each and everytime I sitting in front of the screen, I will stare blank. However, when I am not in front of the screen my mind lingers and all the ideas to blog just popped out. It grew and I refine it from there. Just as I begin to type the things, nothing came concrete. Just a blurry idea.
Is it difficult just to complete a task.

I still have a few more draft inside my notebook. Maybe the times will come for me. Just out of curiosity I wanted to question myself whether I can consistently post at least 1 post per day or per week. Doubtfully, the weekly post seems too long to be in the acceptable radar and yet the daily posts just too much of effort to put in a day’s work.
All I can say now is let me just see the things to unfold themselves.
