Quote of the Day

Food for Thoughts, To Ponder About No Comments

A day without laughter is a day wasted.

Charlie Chaplin

Live it to the fullest. Everyday when we wake up, we have the choice to choose how to spend the day with. With a smiley face to begin the day with? or a sad face to begin with? Every now and then, it is much easier said than being done.

Are you a laughter person? I used to tell myself that if you can put a laugh on yourself, then there ain’t no problem that you cannot overcome. Optimistic always seems the word to describe the person who keep thinking for the ideal things to come by.

Thus in the times when things are rough and tough for me, I wished that I do have the strength to just smirking smile and laugh at the situation I am in. Ridicule myself to the extend that what I am going through is just a small tiny matters compare to the rest of the world.

Some said I am in self-denial. Perhaps?

Love is the answer – but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty good questions.

Woody Allen

He do have a point there. I mean well, that’s part of the thing today. It is hard to restrain from staying abstained with such tormented pressure from all area.

I mean the only person I could relate to is Jason. I am not sure whether he did the deed or not but heck, that’s his life. Well we shouldn’t be poking our nose into his sex life though. Hahaha…. I find it amusingly funny because Bruce might think about it otherwise.

桃花庵歌

Food for Thoughts No Comments

【明】唐伯虎

桃花坞里桃花庵,桃花庵下桃花仙;

桃花仙人种桃树,又摘桃花卖酒钱。

酒醒只在花前坐,酒醉还来花下眠;

半醒半醉日复日,花落花开年复年。

但愿老死花酒间,不愿鞠躬车马前;

车尘马足富者趣,酒盏花枝贫者缘。

若将富贵比贫者,一在平地一在天;

若将贫贱比车马,他得驱驰我得闲。

别人笑我忒疯癫,我笑别人看不穿;

不见五陵豪杰墓,无花无酒锄作田。

Quick One!

Food for Thoughts, To Ponder About No Comments

Talking about coincidence. Last evening a friend send me a sms and then again, I stumbled upon him later that night at Mali’s Corner @ TBR having nasi lemak. Yummy!

His sms was….

Test: There’s a very very tall cocount tree and there are 4 animals. King Kong, an Ape, an Orangutan and a Monkey pass by. They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana off the tree. Who do you guess will win? ;)

I made a wrong answer.
Then I forward to few of my friends and some also provided the wrong answer. There are also few that are able to provide the right answer. So what is your answer?

Brick Walls

Food for Thoughts No Comments

“Brick walls are there for a reason. They give us chance to show how badly we want something.”

- Randy Pausch “The LAST LECTURE”

Brick Wall

Brick Wall

After a hectic Friday and Saturday, I can finally laid back and enjoy the books I recently bought. Managed to finished The Alchemist and now just started with the other book, “The Last Lecture”.

I was browsing through MPH the other day and couldn’t help but to get this book. In fact, I was contemplating whether to choose this over the “Mister Pip”. It was a decision to be made there and then before the screening of the movie “Sun also rises, The”

Coming back to the above quote, it just reminds me that I have to consistently and persistently be there. I just need to overcome the brick walls. And only the persistency and consistency will. Even though the brick wall that I have smashed into, it really hurts. Yet having another word of wisdom from Jordan Koh last time was that we need to consistently hitting the brick. The first time, the wall might not break. The second, it might not as well. Even the third or numerous time. It you give up at the 76th times, and then you actually just need the 77th times to break it down wouldn’t it seems that too much wasted?

It is not an easy task. The brick walls are there for a reason. I just couldn’t help it but to borrow another quote from Randy, “And if she does love you, then love will win it out”. Hence, be supportive – this I am telling myself.

When we hear good things about us…

Food for Thoughts, To Ponder About No Comments

is the time we are on our deathbed. It is the time when our friends will give their eulogy of us, and our enemies shall dance on our grave.

coffin

Sounds morbid. In a way, yes. I am in my full mood swing now. Back to the above, it was the perception that was painted by the society today. Just last Saturday the company was organizing a team building session which to me it failed to deliver the expected except the story on the positive vs negative. The trainer show us a memo and requested all of us to chip in 5 comments from what we could derive from the memo. Everyone then share their comments. Each of it was a negative comment. Criticism.
